- I've got a 'Mr Modem' cheap and chearful RPI modem that I've been
- using for a resonable time on Compuserve. The only problem I
- encountered was during the sending of larger (2K plus) outgoing mail
- messages. Download worked with no problems. Compuserve overcame the
- problem by inserting the line 'FlowControl=3' in the CIS.INI file,
- and I had no more problems.
-
- I've now recently moved to AOL, and suprisingly, I have come across
- exactly the same problem again, however, AOL are unable to fix the
- problem. They say that RPI modems don't work with AOL unless you put
- the speed down to 9600. Is this really the only solution (other than
- ditching the modem!). The RHSIComm.Drv was installed with the modem,
- and hasn't been a problem except for AOL.
-
- Any ideas ?
